Although we are back, at HIFAS Biologics we are still excited about what we experienced last week at Galicia Biodays 2024. Our team travelled to the Mar de Vigo Auditorium, in the heart of the Olívica City, on 12 and 13 June to attend this benchmark event in the biotechnology and life sciences industry in the European Atlantic Area.
In fact, Galicia Biodays is a key event for companies and professionals in the biotechnology sector, not only in Galicia, but also in Spain and Europe. This event, organised by the Life Sciences Technology Business Cluster (BIOGA), aims to foster collaboration and the development of synergies between key players in biotechnology. With more than 800 attendees, 1,000 meetings and 200 companies, this edition of Galicia Biodays has been a unique platform to establish valuable connections and share innovative knowledge.
At HIFAS Biologics, of course, we took full advantage of this opportunity, participating in more than 30 fruitful meetings through its partnering platform. These meetings not only allowed us to establish valuable connections, but were also crucial to explore new business opportunities, consolidating our commitment to innovation and human health.
But, in addition to generating business, at HIFAS Biologics we took some time to make the most of these Galicia Biodays 2024: we enjoyed highly interesting presentations and lectures for our sectors. We would especially like to highlight two sessions:
“Evolution of drug discovery research and the role of new technologies” by Yves P. Auberson. An inspiring talk on how new technologies are revolutionising drug discovery research.
“Technological sovereignty in the pharmaceutical sector: Strategies for the 21st century” with Esther Riambau, Bosco Emparanza García, Desirée Teijeiro Osorio and Santi Domínguez. A fundamental round table to understand the strategies necessary for technological sovereignty in the pharmaceutical sector.
These presentations provided us with new perspectives and knowledge, as well as great inspiration that will undoubtedly drive our work at HIFAS Biologics.
