Advances in studies of the One Health approach have fostered greater awareness that antibiotic resistance is a major problem. Nevertheless, the low profitability of the antibiotic development process has meant that SMEs are currently the only ones carrying out this type of research lines.Both scenarios have driven concern about the creation of new tools both for financing and for the development of disruptive solutions.
